For those who aren't aware of itachis power or his position among the Uchiha: I have Madara, Obito,Itachi on no particular order, here is why : Itachis use of Amaterasu ( his most power ninjutsu) is second to none, I'll explain. Itachi has the ability to use susanno, and also has equipped 2 very useful and powerful ethernal weapons known as totsuka blade and yata mirror ..
Let's say itachi is in the middle of a forest facing a foe , he summons Amaterasu and sets the tip of his totsuka blade ablaze with the flame... Totsuka blade has special properties where it can stretch very long distances .. Itachi sets and spreads the entire forest around him ablaze. Amaterasu is said to be the ultimate attack( and wat was shown against kabuto) can some wat be the ultimate defense in terms of ninjutsu efficiency .He then puts out the Amaterasu flame on the sword , which has ethernal properties, so the "sword" itself can not be destroyed. Itachi can move freely though the forest thanks to his yata mirror, which reflects all things. This is just a taste of his power and of the Uchiha.
Itachi still has his susanno in the top 2 teir of Uchiha to present date(Madara perfect susanno, Itachi).. Intact, it can even be said that itachi could go head on against madaras susanno .. Itachis totsuka blade can stretch to great lengths and can cut through almost anything, along with being ethernal and the power to seal anything it peirced, while being weilded by the all powerful susanno (brute force), it would b a match for madaras perfect stabilized sword, and defensively , the yata mirror I have no doubt would be able to withstand a blow from madaras sword , which is on par with a juubis tbb in terms of destructive force .. Itachis sussano mayb smaller and slower, but it packs a punch..
Lastly , Itachis underrated Tsukyomi. He has the power to control space and time freely.. In short, when caught under his genjutsu, he could have you fall from the highest climate point on earth at a very high speed to only be met by a giant needle going straight through either eye of his choosing , and this process will continue for 24 hours -_-. Itachi controls space while in Tsukyomi , so the pain in that realm is no different than the pain you feel in the world you call reality. The next 24. Hours , Itachi could show images of your loved 1s dying horrible horrible deaths , which he could manipulate your mind into thinking its real even though you know it's not. The next set of hours, Itachi can create Hundreds of thousands of clones that all stab you 1. After another with a very sharp blade edge while your stuck levitating in an enclosed box mid air , trapped , the box continues to get smaller and smaller , encasing you within in it, preventing you from breathing and keeping you in a very uncomfortable position while you continue bring stabbed for the next 24 hours
.....This is not false, the same person who can Keep you in a genjutsu for 3days while in reality it was around only a second, can control space and do almost whatever he wants in his genjutsu..... Itachi Uchiha
