What will the village think of Sasuke?

What will the Konoha even think of him coming back as a ninja? He joined Orochimaru and said that he wanted to crush the leaf village. I mean, what do you think the council will say about him returning?

Gaara became the Kazekage because the council thought it would be a good position for him to be controlled (in that he would be stable and less of a danger).
Sasuke needs everyone to like him if he wants to be respected - people will start to complain to Naruto (as the Hokage) if Sasuke is just hanging around being an *******.
