Does Kotoamtsukami work on a 6 path of pain body?

No. The bodies dont have a mind of there own. Only the owner can control the bodies. KA worked on edo becuase the corpses had the ability to think for themselves.

I guess the question is would Nagato therefore be exposed to KotoAmatsukami seeing as he is optically/visually connected to the Six Paths; and if he did connect to it, would its power overcome his Rinnegan, or would his Rinnegan stop KA from working?

Jiraiya's Genjutsu effected the 3 Paths it hit so KA should be able to control 1, would be pretty pointless tho Nagato could just stop controlling the Path.

Possibly for a moment but Nagato will over ride it. Don't forget the the chakra frequency Nagato uses to control the pains changes continuously. So whilst the genjutsu might work on the current frequency it would change nullifiying the genjutsu.

Also genjutsu doesn't affect the real Nagato through the paths. Nagato could clearly hear and talk to people through the pains so on some level their hearing is linked. Yet when jiriaya used frog song the real Nagato was uneffected and mobilised the remaining 3 pains.

If what you said is right. Would it not be advantageous to use KA on Deva Path?
