They have to be trained in the art of gentle fist, and to train in the art of gentle fist you NEED byakugan. You'd spend a whole lifetime and would never master it. It doesn't matter if tenketsu are all over the body you need byakugan to see it, they are very small. Still even then you need to surgically inject your own chakra into their tiny tenketsu point in which only somone from the Hyuuga can do. No one else can. Thread Ended.
You seem to be in a hurry.

Thats not particularly true, even though tenketsu are small that doesn't mean they cant be hit as they are quite numerous. Furthermore, the releasing chakra all over the body is just for Kaiten, for Gentle fists all you have to do is pour your own chakra into the chakra system. Where does it say you have to surgically inject your own chakra into the tenketsu?

Then why hasn't anyone outside the hyuga shown it?....

Probably because Kishi doesn't realize that he wasn't specific when he was explaining about gentle fists and because of that a certain guy who posted this thread found the loophole

The point is, with Byakugan one has like 100% chance of damaging a Tenketsu point if one actually lands a hit. Without it, one will never be sure if the spot was right or not.

Gentle Fist that fails to block chakra points becomes useless pokes that even Udon could tank with 0 damage. If you're not perfect with it (which is what only Byakugan users can achieve) then you're better off using standard Bukijutsu or Taijutsu.

One can simply study and memorize certain vital tenketsu points and then use the gentle fists on those areas, can he not?

Basically to use the gentle fist style all you have to do is flow your own chakra into your opponent's tenketsu.

Before you say, "You need the Byakugan to see the tenketsu points.", tenketsu is everywhere around the body so the chances of missing should be pretty slim in my eyes.
You do need the Byakugan sines normal eyes and the Sharigan can't see the pin size points to Hit them.

Its never been mentioned what would happen if you randomly use gentle fists on a random area or you could just memorize certain tenketsu points to hit when using gentle fists.

You are not getting the point. You can't use gentle fist if you are not a Hyuuga. You also need to have byakugan.

Manga states it, you just have to pour chakra into the tenketsu points and whats wrong with people memorizing the tenketsu areas? its possible, is it not?

Everytime enemies move or bend their bodies, location of their Tenketsu points changes as well. You need 100% precision in here or your attacks become useless. Ninja have to make sure their attacks are effective, which is impossible to achieve in Gentle Fist without Byakugan.

For example, Gai found a way of fighting Sharingan users by following their feet movement only. Is it effective overall? No. He doesn't use this tactics when fighting other foes.
The point is, one could learn it - sure. But without Byakugan it will never be as strong and reliable as normal Taijutsu or Bukijutsu.

I won't say what I said in page 1 over. Plus how can someone memorize a tenketsu point if they can't see them?

True but remember there's always a chance that they'll hit one of the numerous tenketsu points :hint:

No you can't just punch a persons body to hit a tenketsu point.

Uhmm i may be mistaken but don't people know about Tenketsu by studying about them and dont people study them by seeing drawings and graphs about a human body and where the Tenketsu around the body is? Kishi did draw a human body showing the tenketsu points and i think Kakashi or Gai were explaining about them so they should have knowledge on them even though they didn't memorize the points of the tenketsu.

Im saying there is a chance

Why so serious? people can use gentle fists but i never said they can use it effectively therefore either way my point still stands.

That was obviously from a Hyuuga's point of view. Don't believe me? Check when Lee was explaining to Naruto about tenketsu points. Then, go look at the Naruto vs Neji fight. When neji looks at naruto with his byakugan, the same image from lee explaining is shown. Bottom line is, without a byakugan you can't see tenketsu points. Without being a Hyuuga you can't use gentle fist.

Firstly, you need to hit it AND release your chakra into it.
Secondly, do you know what happens when you fail (which is VERY probable without Byakugan, even if one trained for years)? What happens is that you are several cm away from your enemy and that you failed to deal ANY damage at all, giving your enemy enough time to actually kill you.

I meant that there is a chance for example if your enemy is paralysed and standing there, either way my point still stands. Everyone can use gentle fists, i was never debating if they could win in a battle with it.
