I'm going to start this thread by telling you people a small event that happened last year in my country(of course). It was pretty simple: animal rights defenders broke into a scientific lab, and trashed the entire place, and freeing some dogs that were being kept there. Computers, as well as many other devices, were destroyed.
They claimed, with no proof, that they were abusing the animals in there. Now, for these people, even keeping the dogs in there might be considered abuse, let alone using them as test subjects.
Researches that were developted in there were destroyed, lost. Researches meant to develop a cure or treatment for many diseases that strikes humanity. No one was punished.
Why am I telling you this? Well, it's pretty simple. I've had enough of these people. Everything these days is considered animal abuse, and these people think they can do anything to intervain. They think they can stick their noses into people's work, eating habits, and more recently, even scientific researches.
Here's what I think. If you got so much problem with animals being used as a test subjects, then why don't you, animal right defenders, volunteer to be the subjects? And if you're not willing to do it, then stop intervaining. Because people are dying because of diseases we aren't able to treat right NOW. Lives are at stake, families losing their beloved ones, tragedies that sometimes destroy other lives as well.
Stop playing heroes, when people are dying and you're trying to stop the hope for their cure. You know what? If it was up to me, I would blame you for EVERY disease-related death. But as I can't go that far, I recommend that you stop it.
I'm not telling anyone to close their eyes to real problems, as there is animal abuse, and I'm compleetelly aware and against it. What I am telling you is stop the hero games and stop intervaining in people's lives. Act smart, find smart and not harmful solutions for the problem, and smart people will support you. Keep doing what you do, and the intelectuals will opppose you.

EDIT: I forgot to mention. In my country, you see countless dogs suffering in the streets everyday. Ironic, huh?
