I'm saying this mainly because I never watch the anime and there are various reasons for that.
The overall feel of the anime is bad, when contact is made, there does not feel like there is an impact at all. Look at the Tobirama and Izuna fight. Jesus I felt like I was watching animated characters hit sticks against eachother. Let's not forget the episode when the juubi arrives and obito's shuriken attack against Kakashi eww it was horrible.
The quality of the animations are piss poor as well, Naruto is a very popular anime and should have top notch animators working on the episodes. Look at Attack on Titan, the animation style is overwhelming, the art style for the animation is just mindblowing. Even Dragonball Z which was aired in around 1989 or around that is more consistent and feels more powerful.
Now the latest episode was ridiculous. The madara and Hashirama battle did have some impact with blows but it was still more flat than I would like, especially when there are two titan sized creatures battling it out. But Tobirama and Izuna's fight just wow, they were suppose to be just behind their brothers and Izuna was said to be near equal to his older borther, yet the two younger brothers were swordfighting like genin. Tobirama who fought a lot of Uchiha and Izuna on multiple occassion still fell for a 3T sharingan genjutsu, em what? Did the animators read the manga and what Tobirama can do? His water style attack was pathetic and so was Izuna's fire style attack. Also Izuna has MS yet why would you fight your rival with 3T? Jesus it's stupid.
It's just horrible, from what the animators of seen of the manga they should have known that the way Izuna and tobirama battled, is something that we would see at the end of Part One naruto or beginning of part two. By the looks of it Iruka could have held his own.
