Kishi helps design the anime actually. The myth is that no manga author has literally nothing to do with the anime counterpart of their manga but that is not true. I'm not saying what the OP says is true, just that Kishi does have a hand in the anime, every author does so it wouldn't be quite right saying anime is not canon if the author has a hand in both.

It looks to me that there is a very good chance madaras susanoo has wings aswell.

However i doubt it could fly while being that large, maybe thats why sasuke made his PS smaller.
