you just asked half of the most flamed OP question...they only give him his hype because hes said to have dueled shanks untill he lost his arm, mihawk is known as the best swordsman in OP, key word swords man id say hes either shanks>= mihawk

and as for top 10s, in OP its very hard to do that there isnt many people weve seen full power of and we havent seen some of the said to be strongst chars... example, dragon, kaido big mam

There are 27 named characters seen wielding swords as main form of combat in cannon. Some of them include Zoro shanks and Fujitora.

Being that the man to wield the sword and be the most deadly is Mihawk. He is above Fujitora and shanks.

How dare you. Borsalino is on par with old rayliegh. Rayliegh couldn't beat mihawk. Rayliegh isn't a better swordsman than mihawk, and until his title is canonically disproven and his status as zoro's final opponent stripped/achived he will he will never lose to rayliegh.

To me Mihawk is in the "gap" meaning he is inbetween admiral and yokno level. Akainu is also in that Gap with Mihawk

If he doesn't make your top 10 list, then you're simply underrating him. IMO he should be in the top 5 seeing how Zoro is aspiring to beat him @ EOS. It wouldn't make sense for Zoro's long-term rival to barely make the top 10 list or not even make it at all. IMO he's #3 or #4 in top 10 strongest character rankings.

shanks is a haki fighter, just cause you use a sword doesn't mean you're a sword master

mihawk>shanks in sword play

shanks>mihawk in everything else
