Well if they came to our planet, their technology would be superior, and unless they don't have poseable thumbs I doubt they'd want to splice with us lol

Interstellar travel doesn't quite equate to automatically having military superiority. We would either kill them or drive them off in the attempt.

That's possible, but I think odds are more likely that with superior technology comes superior military unless they're a harmonious race.

Well,space travel presents more odd than a warfare could provide and moreover our warfare techniques are for fighting each other,it might be totally useless. It would be pointless to fire an ICBM with nuke over their ship since it could be already enough tough.If they are able to travel from one solar system to another then might be doing it for a long it time and it is likely they have exhausted their planets resources and hop from one planets to another for it and If they have faced resistance then they might have their own way to stop it.

As we all know, NASA constantly beams up radio waves to outter space, hoping that one day they'll be received by some other civilization. But let's say we one day finally find out about some potential neighboors in outter space. What will we do?

Most of those radio waves are send by explosions of outer space , black holes , supernova's etc . they will receive something in future but it's like finding needle in haystack , if there's life on the planets far away ( there's lot of planets , galaxies out there so there's a possibility ) mostly they will be civilizations that's not developed in technology , might be tiny orgasms too and ones that developed could be dangerous ( look at us , we are developed in technology and we are danger to ourselves ) so prey not to meet some beings like that or we will be annihilated .

Really I think it would all come down to numbers. If they contacted us it would be a small reconnaissance and exploration force. Highly doubtful they would be able to beat the sheer number of bodies we would be able to hit them with.

Well that's where the consequences lie. If we attack a reconnaissance team, the actual military might retaliate. This reminds of the movie District 9. Don't know if you've seen it.
