So, what got you guys into Naruto?

Hi there peeps!

Naruto's large online fanbase goes to show that it is being enjoyed worldwide

But what I'd like to know is how you guys became hooked onto the manga/anime. For me, I was only formally introduced to it three years ago. I recall seeing snippets of the anime (albeit Mandarin-dubbed, which I assure you is gross! Especially Sasuke's voice... ). The series would air on and off of the TV, and I wondered if there was a good reason for the show's recurrences. One day, I decided to sit through an entire episode set during the Chunin exams(despite me not having any background knowledge) and I thought it was thoroughly awesome. Loved the action, loved the premise and bam, just like that, I was hooked.

So, what about you guys?

My friend brought over the Naruto Ultimate Ninja game for the PS2 and I thought it was cool....so I started watching the anime lol

I never actually saw NAruto part1 - I started to watch shippuden ... and since then , I always watch it .... my motive - hmm Akatsuki ... I wanted to know who was their leader !!(and wanted to know more about Rinnegan)

What hooked me to Naruto was when they showed Naruto with the fox cloak for the first time fighting Haku on the bridge.

Yeah, Kishi has set up a deliciously complex world with a juicy plot! Many are complaining that the series is fizzling out at the moment, and I agree that Shippuden is not quite as tightly bound as part one, but I still enjoy it and will remain "truetonaruto" until the very end.

Haha really? I would suggest that you watch/read part 1 though!

Yes, although the hype has cooled down in the recent arc, Kakashi is still awesome. I really dislike it when people on this website use the term "fodder" and Kakashi in the same sentence. Haha.
