as soon as obito activates the intangibility ,i think gai wont be able to hurt him and obito only chance to attack will be using long range kamui while being intangible but if he tried to use short range kamui he will be stomped

I get your point but this is an assumption as Obito is in a totally different dimension . With that reasoning and considering the fact that we don't know how much dimensions exist in Naruto but there are multiples as Kaguya showed , I guess Gai can do a kick that would arrive in any other different dimensions than Kamui too ; One million dimensions could exist and Gai attacks could land on any so this is irrelevant.

but long range kamui doesnt needs solid body ,it just needs to look at your enemy to warp him the same as ginjutsu and sharingan following chakra ,
do you think obito needs to be solid to follow chakra with sharingan or to use ginjutsu !?

distorting space doesnt necessarliy mean that it can hit something in another dimension
if that was true then gai should have been worried lest he should kill naruto,obito and sakura who were in the other dimension in this time

Madara couldn't even catch Obito when he jumped into dimensions with double ms power.

Obviously Gai wouldn't be able to catch up to him either.

That stupid scan of Obito vs konan is only one ms.

Recent chapters revealed that double ms kamui is way faster than Rikudou Madara. Gai needed Minato's ftg to evade Madara's Gudodamas, while double mangekyo kamui easily dodged Madara's Gudodama by juming into dimensions.

And Obito is a bit slower when jumping into dimensions with one MS, with double no one will touch him not even Gai
