[Discussion] Why are a lot of one piece fans so annoying?

Being upset because someone is praising something is stupid. You can disagree with them and say why, but you can't say stop doing it. You're basically saying "Stop saying opinions because they aren't my opinion!"

I agree, a lot of One Piece fans (including myself) do occasionally give it too much praise without realising. Naturally, we like to focus on it's good points though and try to gather as many fans as possible (above a certain IQ XP )

Saying OP>anything because of sales is retarded,mits like me saying Led Zepp is the best band cuz sales but I have muchu, much better reasons for saying it.

And tbh I have never seen anyone saying OP is the best with the sole argument of sales backing it up, yes sales often get mentioned but they are never the main argument, tbh if I am in a conversation like that it is usually the other way around and the other guy starts "just because OP has the most sales it doesnt mean its the best manga"

Every series has got its own set of annoying fans, so saying that those of OP are annoying, is quite pointless.

It's a personal opinion which series you find the best so I don't mind if people find OP 10000x more better than any other series, however it does get annoying when they intentionally provoke fans of other series with it, but as said each series has those. In that regard in the least OP fans amongst themselves have little to no friction with each other, while in Naruto there's a continuous struggle between the fanbases of several characters and especially those of Naruto and Sasuke in particular, who seem to hate each other even more than the fans of other series and use ever opportunity to bash each other and/or the characters.

Several HxH fans then can't let it go that Naruto supposedly ripped off from HxH, which I can only consider to be pure jealousy on the success of Naruto.

The annoying Bleach fans on their turn are pretty much permanently in denial about the overall qualities of the chapters.

DBZ fans hype the DBZ characters to the extreme.

Etc.

Pointing out the annoying OP fans have to stop is simply futile.
