Why did Kakashi have to kill Rin. I still haven't understood.

Please explain why Kakashi killed Rin and why have I missed it in the episodes.

^This....pretty much the best explanation without looking up manga pages. Kakashi didnt want to kill her but she got in front of his chidori.

Still don't know how that would work... As far as I'm aware they can't remotely destroy the seal on a Jinchuuriki...

Kakashi didn't intentionally kill Rin, Rin jumped infront of Kakashi's Chidori and somehow it removed the Puppet Seal on her heart which is Fuinjustu to get Obito to the dark side.

The same thing happened to Obito as well as he had a Puppet Seal from Madara which Kakashi's Raikiri took it off.

So really, you can blame Madara for all of this, you're welcome
