Frog Kata

When Naruto was fighting against Obito (before Madara arrived), he should have just used his Frog Kata... It's not like Obito could detect it and thus make it pass through him. He could've simply went to punch him, and before he transported himself (because his fist hadn't reached him yet), he could've smacked him dead in the face over and over again.

The only reason that I can think of as to why he didn't use this was because:

a) I know he couldn't have used this because he wasn't in sage mode. Nothing really stopped him from going into it though, because Bee, Kakashi and Gai were all there to buy him some time.
b) Plot No Jutsu.

Just goes to show, plot > logic. Again.

Anyways, while you're looking at this thread, can anyone explain to me what exactly happened to Bee during all of this? As far as I could see, he was standing by after he launched a Tailed Beast Ball into the 10-tails' mouth, but then he's suddenly captured? What am I missing?

He did that after Obito became the Juubi's jinchurikki. And I he would need speed besides reflexes from Frog Kata

I don't see how that's reasoning when you're just recounting the plot... It doesn't mean he couldn't enter Sage mode and chakra mode at the same time when this was happening.

He didn't knew he could enter Sage Mode and 9 tails chakra mode at the same time until Kurama pointed that out. This was intentional by Kishi. If he knew ofcourse he would have greater chances at finishing this earlier.
