Hey guys, I had a moment of inspiration, so I hope you enjoy, and if you do I might post more! :bouncy:
It's been over 10 years since the end of the war, sometimes he wonders what could have been different. What if his parents didn't die, what if the Uchiha never got massacered. What if the tailed beasts never existed? It's easy to get lost in these kinds of thoughts in times of peace, he knows that.
“Dad! Dad? DAAAAAAAAD! Come on, wake up!” said a voice. “Heh? What?” Naruto said groggily. “Dad, you promised we'd train with uncle Sasuke!” the boy exclaimed. “Yeah I didn't forget about that, Obito.” He named his son in honor of the fallen Uchiha who sacrificed his life to help Naruto and Sasuke seal Kaguya.
Naruto hadn't changed that much, still the goofy, hyperactive, knucklehead ninja that he always used to be, albeit with more thinking and less impulsive behaviour. He still has the tailed beasts inside of him, all 9 of them; Kurama, Gyuki, Chomei, Saiken, Kokuo, Son Goku, Isobu, Matatabi and Shukaku. In times of need he talked to them about how he could handle certain situations best, he thought of them not as tailed beasts but as equals, if not more than that.
“Yeah, yeah, calm down we're going already.” Naruto said as he got up on his feet. “Were you daydreaming again, dad?” Obito said while looking quizically at his father. “I usually come here to think, and I guess I lost track of time hehe.” Naruto said while having that same grin on his face that we all know. “Mom is right, you really are a goofy person.” Obito said with the exact same grin on his face. “EEEEH!? I'm not goofy!” Naruto said while wondering why Hinata would say such a thing. “Ehehehehehe” Obito laughed at his father.
“Dad?” Obito asked. “Hmm?” “Well, I was just wondering about grandpa and grandma, you told us both about the war but I was just wondering, like, why didn't they get revived? Didn't they want to spend more time with you?” It was a really odd question for Obito to ask, he's usually calmer and composed. “Well, my mother couldn't have been revived anyway, and I did meet her once...” he said while remembering the time where he beat Kurama with the help of his mother. “...and well Dad, I met him again when he was an Edo Tensei, and he said that the dead have no place in the world of the living. Besides,” again with a cheeky grin on his face. “I spent more than enough time with my dad fighting against Kaguya remember? That's more than enough for me. He even made Kurama whole again. I couldn't ask for anything more.” Naruto said, while having a small tear roll down his cheek, he did miss Minato and Kushina. Almost everyday he'd walk to their graves and just kneeled there. “Dad? Are you okay?” Obito said while putting his hand on his fathers shoulder. “Yeah, I'm fine, let's go to uncle Sasuke.”
