That's not true. I'm not sure about Sakura, but Tsunade should be able to survive it with the Byakugou activated. Without it she survived being cut in half and stabs to her spine. Several tags weren't able to destroy Nagato's legs or seriously injure him, one tag isn't blowing up her head.

wouldn't the explosion destroy the seal on her forehead and stop the regeneration ?
after all , her regeneration comes from the massive amount of chakra released from the seal

How can an explosion destroy the seal? Madara's Katons weren't able to damage the seal when it was released.

I'm not entirely sure whether the regeneration will stop if the part of skin (or flesh) where the seal is located gets blown away....
but that's what I had in mind

edit: even if the above is true I would still doubt if one tag would be enough

I don't think the seals can be destroyed that easily. Kakashi tried to remove Sasuke curse seal and he couldn't. I don't see an explosion erasing a high level seal like this.
