As many of you know, Thoreau was one of the main contributors to this movement. Legend even has it, when he whistled, animals would come to him.
Haku seems to be one with nature, much like Thoreau, and passes the same abstract thinking traits as well. Both also lived in a forest for quite some time. Haku also possess a relationship with animals, like Thoreau and seems to speak to them.
Both were also experts on berries. haku knew which ones were good for medicine and such.
