Naruto tried to stop sasuke from killing obito because he knew revenge will not the solution ..Naruto knew Revenge will give birth to another hatred and the cycle of hatred continues that's why he gave a chance to obito..

If sasuke killed obito then this wont be possible that sasuke can be brought back from sahara desert XD. This shows that sasuke was wrong at that time..His way is wrong..

Madara would be Edo and wouldn't be alive if Obito was already dead, zetsu wouldn't be able to revive Madara since there
was no rinnegan user... Madara would be sealed since he was already restricted and the war would end.

Yeah but who would use the rinnegan? The manga would have to introduce some new person for the manga not to be over with Obito's death. There was no living person beside Obito helping madara, bar the unconscious kabuto.
