Am I the only one disappointed in the Revolutions demo?

I mean, seriously. They've added all this flashy stuff, but (classic CC2) the mechanics are still shit. Quite possibly even worse than the last version.

Naruto and Mecha Naruto's awakenings are still OP as shit; CC2 still hasn't payed attention to the large awakenings, and some combos (coughcoughNarutoandMechaNaruto) are literally impossible to get out of if you substitute at the wrong time. Naruto's combos actually hit behind him.

Dashing feels sluggish now for some reason, and it takes more chakra to dash. Some characters actually dash faster than others, and if you're out of chakra versus Mecha Naruto you might as well say GG. Not to mention that his instant awakening is pretty much the same as SM Naruto's regular awakening in Storm 3. Needless to say, he's OP as shit. Not to mention you can use supports while you're awakened, so you are absolutely, positively screwed if someone awakens. At least in Storm 3 you could try to run like hell, but there's literally no way out of their combos this time around.

And the absolute worst thing: Drive Mode. This allows you to have supports guarding your ass literally the entire match. Couple that with the horribly OP tilts and Mecha Naruto's insane range and the fact that you have to be standing completely still to jump now for some reason, this is really what sent me over the edge with this game.

I honestly haven't enjoyed a Naruto game since Broken Bonds, when the concept was fresh and innovative and everything wasn't just spam B, LT, and A.

1. OP large awakenings can be brought down using (triangle+triangle+circle) whether you are in UJ typ, Awakening Type, or Drive type.

2. It takes more chakra to dash, but recovering chakra is faster than previous storm games.

3. When you're out of chakra against OP awakening, use (R2+square) to break their guard. Recover chakra ASAP, and you either use UJ (to highly damage them), Drive UJ (to break their awakening and limit their substitution in a certain amount of time.)

4. Dash three times and you'll break the Drive support. (They're very easy to break through)

I like the game, but spammers are noobs. Spamming in a Naruto game means that your opponent isn't playing to have fun PRO match, they're merely trying to achieve a W. That's lame.

They started working on "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution" project before receiving the next gen specs (for both Xone and PS4). They'll probably make an entire new series for the next gen consoles.

Just played a few more matches. This is easily the most broken fighter I have ever played in my life.

I'm having a good time with the game myself, funnest times so far are when I've been picking out people that are like 9 for 9 or 5 for 5 and giving them their first loss.

I thought the demo was alright. The only thing that really bothered me was the lack of options (button configuration, voice language, etc).

It definitely feels weird having to choose between 3 types, but it's not that bad when you get used to it. At the very least, it gives spammers less options to use and you have more chances to defend yourself.
I also liked the fact you can move the left stick whilst blocking to dodge, albeit it's slower than just using the jump button. It's a very small detail but I can see it being a useful one.

Aside from that, I do have to agree about Drive type seeming OP. It seems really unbalanced for them to get all their support actions like defending or strike backs at the start of the match. At the very least, they should have to fill the gauge a bit before that becomes available.
