To me, its not a bad thing. If Naruto did not thank Obito, it would seem contradicting believe it or not to Naruto's character on the issue of the cycle of hatred and the everlasting hope or whatever
The common response what a majority of people are saying is that Naruto shouldnt thank Obito because Obito was the one responsible for killing his parents and making him endure a lonely childhood.
However, u guys are looking at this from one perspective. U cannot be biased when it comes to characters in NV because not everyone can be viewed as solely evil or good.
If u look at it from an objective point of view, Obito did a good service for the whole world by getting rid of Minato
Minato was responsible for Konoha's victory in the third world war and probably killed a lot more people than Obito has
Minato was soloing armies and made a lot of children orphans.
What I'm trying to convey is that Naruto understands. He understands that forgiveness and breaking the cycle of hatred would lead to a better world
Majority of fans tend to compare logic in our world to logic in NV
This is a bad thing to do
In our world, the majority of people are innocent while the minority are insurgents who cause trouble
In NV, the majority of people are shinobi who kill each other while the minority are innocent
Just because Obito was responsible for Minato's and Kushina's deaths, doesnt make him an solely evil character because Minato and Kushina are not innocent people
And thats what fans need to understand
They need to look at from an objective point of view
