So, it has dawned on me that Naruto may indeed have a young demographic as its main audience. I frankly believe naruto wasn't intended for people who just penchant action, but more of an intricate plot eclipse with fable and symbolic motifs. Many literary devices are used in naruto, and it used in a labyrinth story with developing characterization having adult content unsuitable for children. So what is Naruto's target group?
Well see how it broadcast on Toonami with its non adolescent viewer discretion advised, we can suppose anywhere around 13 to an mature aged person. The content however, expurgated and simplified as it may be, but for some who are not familiar with mature novel or simply don't do good with literature won't grasp a story like Naruto.
Why is it then Naruto has so many young viewers? For one, it's a highly entertaining action show and what people would describe, a "hybrid of older prevalent mangas".
This involuntarily will capture a my raid of age groups of any age. However, the progression of the show reveals it is harmful for younger people when in regard to minced oaths, erotic jokes, killing, libel, obscene scenes, fugitives, complex characters, etc. Albeit, Naruto is a heroic anime, leading many to believe it is justified.
Most members here are really young and can not comprehend much past their reading level. That is why NB is always filled with flabbergasted teenagers when a convoluted chapter or theory arises.
Most only read Naruto because of its action and straight-forwardness while averting its elaborate themes. They will flag a chapter boring or the manga generally obsolete. Not all are kids though; teeming adul5s with selective reading impediments or pseudo OCD can barely grasp it either. What a shame.
Naruto is victimized by manga warfare as well. Because of vying fanbases, Naruto is judged by it's audience, you know, the ones who aren't even understanding the story and bash it. Then there's bandwagoning, which you all are guilty of. Anyways I was writing on mobile and my phone is dying.
