Upon gaining the power of Hagoromo, fans started saying that Naruto was preforming Creation of All Things in order to revive people from the dead. However, there were also the ones that stated that he was merely using Yang Relaese in order to breath life into people. (Saving those who were near death.) Now, this thread is merely to point out that Naruto is not able to revive people from the dead permanently. He is only able to share his chakra and lifeforce, a new and better version of his already amazing ability to share his chakra perfectly.

In both translations, Obito is surprised that he is alive, while Naruto said he revived/helped him but he also says "But.." while Obito says that he already knows. This is more than enough proof that Naruto's revival is nothing but temporary. Obito was dead, completely dead. But he was revived for a short time in order to help get Sasuke back. When he used it on Gai he gave Gai more life force in order to sustain life. Same goes for Kakashi's eye, he merely shared his stamina/chakra with them. Thus he is able to save more or less anyone from death and revive them, but only temporary. If they are not dead yet, then I assume he is able to save their life. (Or Gai may still die for all we know.)

Gai was ABOUT to die - if you recall back to when Naruto saved him, the chakra in the 8th gate (the one around his heart) was super close to going away completely, but he re-vitalized it at the last second.

Chakra is the power of the spirit, stamina/life force is the power of the body. Using that as an example, creating new organs should be possible using high manipulation of life energy/stamina. He restarted Obito's organs, as well as giving Gai more life force. (Both are directly connected to physical elements, while Yin is spiritual.)

When I read it I interpreted the "but" to mean "even though I revived you don't get hope that I can revive Rin"

Why would that make any sense? Obito already said he wishes to die, long before that. He has accepted Rin's death.

Nope. Until confirmed this is just fail.... It could be that Obito will give his life to save Naruto and Naruto knows this... or he still wants Obito to be punished.

I don't agree with the temporary part, although everything else seems fine.
