Now that even sakura shows that she is useful and will save sasuke together with obito plus narutos clone, Kakashi must show he is useful too.
Of course he is no match for kaguya, this will be narutos job, holding her until sasuke arrives with the others.
But he can climb to the castle and explore it, finding some useful informations about kaguya.
maybe there is someone in the castle, probably kaguyas husband or somebody else.
the hokages will get instructions of the sage, i think they won't come to the place where naruto and co are, they will be concentrating to free the people in the cocoons.
