Honestly Kakuzu's raiton can end this, he's able to create two bolts instantaneously, Hiruzen's wind can only counter one, If you use his previous clone formation no clone will be in the vicinity to even come close to countering such a fast jutsu

actually fuu'ton can be used in a ''wall'' or a ''sweeping'' fashion to counter the 3 bolts of rai'ton.
remember hiruzen is a master of basic nuture manipulation by feats when he countered buddahs 5-point ''stream''

Hiruzen has absolutely no way to bypass Kakuzu's elements. And Once Kakuzu goes close range He obliterates him, He's basically a walking tank in this matchup. Hiruzen fires a jutsu, Kakuzu counters it, Not to mention if he goes into the long range mode he'll also have the benefit of his threads.

Alive hiruzen wouldnt be able to pull off what Edo hiruzen said ( clones and using 5 elements ) due to his living old frail body, so while a alive hiruzen can do the same thing as edo hiruzen he cant due to his old body.

But he would be able to pull it off. He would be able to use 5 clones and all 5 elements because an Edo can only preform up to what the alive form could. Notice in the fight with Orochimaru, Hiruzen never complained about chakra, not even once. He never mentioned his reserves were low, or that he was tired. His chakra was so strong it caused a dense effect on the atmosphere and made the roof tiles crack. Hiruzen did not get exhausted during his fight with Orochimaru, he just resorted to RDS when he knew he had to remove the soul because it would be pointless to waste chakra and continue the fight.

His frail body means nothing. Its all about his stamina reserves. I hate where the Hiruzen and Orochimaru fight took place. On a small building rooftop barriered off and he barely had room to fight, counter attack, and show that he can actually shunshin to dodge attacks and actually move around and is not some old frail sitting duck.

Hiruzen wins mid-high diff. His elemental blasts are huge, and they would negate the masks attacks like Hiruzen's clones negated the elemental attacks from the Buddha. What gives Hiruzen the advantage is that he himself can use all five elements, whilst Kakuzu can only use what element his heart has. Not to mention Enma as a summon would be a nice distraction or defense against Kakuzu's taijutsu. So either Hiruzen wins via wearing out Kakuzu, or via using raiton against Kakuzu when Kakuzu only has the doton mask in him.

All of his shadow clones have all the attacks in his arsenal which means they can use any kind of elemental attack at their convenience (just like how Naruto's shadow clones can use all his techs). And I don't see how Kakuzu and his hearts can react to the big shuriken shadow clone jutsu which Juubito himself had to put up a shield (instead of dodging) not to get impaled badly.

If this edo hiruzen is able to use all of konoha's jutsu then its even more in his favor.

Honestly Clones Aren't even Hiruzen's main source of attack, Kakuzu can end this quick enough so that what his elements are don't even matter

they are relatively on par with each other,, since both of their arsenal is revolved around elemental attacks,,,,,
however,, hiruzen would win this battle mainly due to enma,,,,

--All the elemmental attacks are comparable for both of them however with hiiruzen being an edo here,, means thhat he can use them for longer periods of time,,

--Kakuzus Domu defense is overcomed by hiruzens enma shield and since it can extend itself,, it allows hiruzen to attack kakuzu effectively in mid/long range as well,,,

Lol, depth? The only thing that makes them special is that they don't look like the regular elemental blasts, hence they affect hit targets differently. Doesn't change the fact that Hiruzen's Elemental Jutsu take a giant shit on Kakuzu's due to his scale.

And don't say "Size doesn't matter" cause the manga disagrees with you. The bigger an elemental attack (Like HIruzen's or Kakuzu's) the stronger. Nor is Kakashi's Raikiri an excuse for you to say that Kakuzu's jutsu aren't worthless in front of Hiruzen. Kakuzu's jutsu are NO WHERE near the scale of Hiruzen's jutsu, not even close.

Everytime Kakuzu uses an element, Hiruzen counters with its Bijuu+ sized counter element, which plows right through and obliterates the mask who used it.
