Why is it called shippuden, what is it's meaning?
It should have a different name.

Japanese it has another meaning

It resembles a whirlpool or maelstrom which probably why its called that

Well Naruto is also the name of a City in Japan, located in Tokushima Prefecture.The city was founded on March 15, 1947. It also has a University: Naruto University of Education.

Though the name definitely popped out by that ramen topping thing for sure.
