I ask this because of a video I had seen months ago but recently stumbled upon again and it raised my interests once again.

My stance is no, since something getting popular doesn't mean it will become better quality.

What are your guy's stances on the idea?

I say no, Eventually the fandom and the demand would be so great that studios would be in overdrive pushing out new stuff like no tomorrow. That would be cool but eventually degrade the quality and most would lose interest. Besides I find solace in liking something not many other people do.

Nah. I know this makes me sound like a hipster, but most of the time when things go mainstream, they go to shit.

I don't think the quality will degrade , in fact I think mangas actually competing will be for the best , a competition brings the best out them . Their really wouldn't be a difference to be honest , it shouldn't influence your reading or your liking of shit so meh .

That's because that's its country of origin. The same could be said for comics in the US, but that was not mainstream worldwide until the 90s through the 2000s.

I'm just saying since it's mainstream in japan already, where it's made, I doubt becoming mainstream in the U.S. would effect it's quality.

There are a lot of anime that deserve more recognition than films or TV shows, but as a whole, I agree that the entertainment industry would eventually drain it of any quality it has.
