Battleground Of The Gods

The Gods are at war. Each pantheon viciously fights each other for total control. The pantheons furiously attempt to overpower each other’s land and structures.

Egyptian-Gifted in Defense (Tankiness)

Gods and Goddesses can be created or taken from the mythology itself. There cannot be 2 gods of the same thing from the same pantheon. (No two Hindu Gods of Fire for example.) The point is to formulate and strategize a plan in order to kill all the enemy pantheon’s Gods or Goddesses. Once a God or Goddess dies, the RP’er can make a new character and be part of a different pantheon or the same one. Each mod will be the leader of a pantheon.

Large mountain with entrances into the mountain. It contains important structures and functions such as command on the inside with less important structures and functions on the slope of the mountain.

Egyptian:

Large pyramid with intricate mazes on the inside. All structures and functions lay on the inside of the pyramid.

Norse:

Large aurora borealis type cloud in which structures are on. A very large tree called the World Tree sits underneath the cloud signifying where the cloud is as well as a way into the base.

Chinese:

A large, typical Chinese garden containing rows of trees with rivers flowing through them and throughout the garden. Underneath the garden is an underground maze with more rivers flowing throughout and also has important structures with the less important structures up top.

Name: Thanatos
Gender: Male
Pantheon: Greek
God/Goddess Of: Death, commonly depicted as the guardian of the underworld, as a deputy to Hades himself.
Short Summary Of Abilities:

Harvester of Souls - Reaps the energy of souls in the underworld, healing his battle wounds slightly. Can be used once every 5 posts.


Scent of Death - Thanatos senses impending death and maneuvers to avoid it, allowing him to move at a faster pace and strike harder at his enemies. Effects last for 2 turns, cannot be used for another 4 after effects end.


Death Scythe - Thanatos flings his scythe at an enemy, which lingers, spinning in the air at the targeted location if avoided, returning to his hand upon command (he's disarmed for a post, meaning he has to rely on relatively weak hand-to-hand combat). Can be used whenever he has his scythe.


Soul Reap - Thanatos swings his scythe after infusing it with energy of the underworld. This extends the range of the attack by double, and he very slightly heals his wounds. Can be used once every 3 posts.


Hovering Death - Thanatos goes airborne, striking at his targets after careful, vulture-like consideration, going in for the kill by rocketing downward towards them. If used without the target having seen Thanatos fly, it can immobilize them. Can be used once every 8 turns.

Bio (Optional): Inevitably, all mortals must die. They cling to life with fevered desperation, for death is a cold unknown, filled with uncertainty and bleak, everlasting finality. Some accept fate with grace, others are dragged, kicking and screaming, though in truth, no mortal would go to Hades willingly. They are reaped by the nightmarish God of Death, whose grim visage strikes strange against the gleeful satisfaction he feels at performing his work. Thanatos is the very face of death.

Yet, to Thanatos, Mortals are easy prey. Their end is preordained, harvesting them but a game to pass the eons, but a God, a being beyond the mortal coil, now there is a creature Thanatos eyes with greedy longing. He despises the immortality other Gods covet. To him, it is a perversion and defiance of his very purpose.

But can a God truly die? As the Heavens clash and immortal blood spills on the Earth, Thanatos hungers to find out. War is but the preamble to death, a battlefield of souls rent from their bodies, listlessly waiting to be taken by the God of Death. A war between Gods, a war of this magnitude can mean only one thing. Thanatos is about to be very, very busy.

He stops in a large open field and begins to meditate.

Chaos stands up and walks out of the throne room to an outside balcony. He looks out over the city, observing everyone.

Thanatos sat quietly on mount Olympus, on the edge of a fountain with a ring of various plantlife about it- the garden to his very small abode in the realm of the Greek pantheon. Thanatos held a lone object in his hand...

A black rose. One of the many comparisons Thanatos had found between beauty and death. He quietly contemplated the complex aroma, but then he channeled his power, and it decayed, the stem losing it's luscious green color, instead replaced by an ugly rusted brown, and then it wilted, falling from his grasp, disintegrated before it hit the ground.

"Trouble is brewing."

He got up, and turned around, facing the fountain. He waved his hand, and the clear water ran red with blood, and as another moment of complex dignity passed from his mind, he unfurled his black angel wings, the majesty of them hard to even comprehend, and then he was gone.

You might very well be my strongest soilder Mythos. You have been given a gift and I have a feeling you will be our secret weapon.
Wrath continues to walk until he is finally at the lowest part of the pyramid.
