Itachi passed the Chunin Exams at age 10 and was officially a Chunin.

Kakashi passed the Chunin Exams just 1 year after becoming a Genin, at age 6..........

Itachi never made Jounin.

Kakashi made Jounin at 13......

Do you see the pattern? There is a serious skill gap between Itachi and Kakashi for sure. Itachi accomplished the above feats because of his Sharingan, where as Kakashi accomplished them off his own natural talent.

Kakashi has a vast variety of ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu skills and Itachi's arsenal pales in comparison to his.

Kakashi has shown superior intelligence, analytical skills, and battle prowess.

This thread is to explain why such a gulf in skill exist between Kakashi and Itachi. I believe it is because of their masters and parents.

Itachi's parents were Fugaku and Mito Uchiha. Fugaku who? Thats what I thought. Who is this guy? Well turns out he was the final head of the Uchiha Clan, head of the police force, and a Jounin of the leaf. Thats about it. Who was Itachi's sensei? Thats right. You will never know. If you are not strong, no one will ever know who you are, you are what they call...... fodder. In fact, Itachi's sensei was so fodder that Itachi never needed his help with anything and did everything on his own, Manga fact. So his mediocre father combined with his completely fodder Jounin sensei, Itachi did not learn as much as Kakashi and pales in comparison to him.

Kakashi's parents were Sakumo Hatake and some ***** from the Rice Field country. Sakumo Hatake you say? The man respected on the level equal to that of the Sannin. Known through all 5 great Nations as the White Fang of Konoha. The man Chiyo herself admitted she feared. Kakashi learned a great deal from his dad and it reflects how quickly he rose through the ninja ranks and became a powerhouse. Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, known throughout all countries as the Yellow Flash. Flee on sight orders given to anyone who confronts him. Hero of the Third Shinobi World War and is the reason Konoha won, was Kakashi's sensei. Kakashi was with Minato from 5 (genin) years old till 14(minato's death). Thats virtually 10 years of knowledge and prowess taken in from Minato and vast skills learned, such as the Rasengan, the epitome of chakra shape, chakra control, and intelligence. Because of these two people who raised him, Kakashi became much superior to Itachi in almost every way possible.

Uhm soooooooo, who got shit on every single time they fought? Kakashi was a genius no doubt but Itachi was a perfect prodigy.

Also, prior to the Sharingan, the only jutsu Kakashi knew was Chidori, which he sucked at without it. This is like comparing a rat to a lion.

kakashi is superiour to him in skill and knowledge but since we live in a world were a shot from susanoo will destroy an entire city i still think itachi will win in a fight, but im still rooting for kakashi. Im just being reasonable
