just wondering reading and writing it and would you like nb to have a poetry contest like for the rest and if you are into it you can post some of your material

I'll post a couple of ones that I wrote.

Them and I

While their hearts are connected by strands of friendship, mine is cold and alone,
while they walk the path of life with friends and family, I choose to be on my own,
while their feelings and hearts are always alive and vibrant, mine is one of stone,
while their happiness is always seen and obvious, my feelings, among other things, are never shown.

When they experience pain, they have companionship and love to comfort them,
but I am alone, to solve my problems myself, and to be condemned,
I always search for the solutions and the place from which my problems stemmed,
this search must be done alone as well, as I could never rely on those I call my friends.

They've all had their friends to rely on, to carry each other on to the end,
while they've taken one step closer to happiness, into the darkness is where I descend,
while I have no happiness to yearn for, they’re willing to fight for it to the bitter end,
and while they can heal their wounds, my scars and loneliness are something I could never mend.

Descent into Darkness

When I began walking down this road,
never did I expect for many things, and the way they did, to happen,
majority of it, I must say, was quite a light load,
but even with everyone to help, everything to live for, my heart began to blacken.

Not far down the road, nothing seemed to matter,
as the problems I had were trivial, at best,
but when push came to shove, when the worst case arrived, I sought to find the answer,
though I soon came to realize that I had failed, and it was time for my happiness to rest.

Walking down this path has made me devoid of all light,
with occasional times of happiness, emanating from the parts of me that still lived,
but true ecstasy is a feeling within me that will never again ignite,
and for the wrongs that I have done by those I care for, they could never forgive.

My journey, like a spiral into the darkness,
walking down this dark path of mine,
the pain of my heart, something I would call fathomless,
the loneliness of this journey, I could never define.

I love writing it, but not so much reading. Only a couple poem's have caught my eye.

I can write, not so good but it's considered good as a member of journalism clubs.

It would be good but the idea of a poetry contest was always turned down before.
