You know what brothers me Hashirama's sage eye markings remind me of those Egyptian hieroglyphic eye or Rai's eye an Egyptian sun god powering Hashirama's wood style in a photosynthesis manner. I also like to point out Hashirama's forehead symbol represents the sun same with Naruto's marking on his right hand. ​
