1 taking out deidara and orochimaru
2. helping his brother defeat kabuto and stop edo tensei which saved countless lives
3. requesting orochimaru to summon hokages and then making a positive decision which made them go out to the war and aid the alliance which saved them.
4. bringing hope to the alliance and saving them by cutting the god tree branch that was about to suck their chakra completely
5.helping to defeat obito and later on fighting madara and now kaguya
sasuke may not have shown remorse for his past actions but he sure has hell taking certain actions that have saved the shinobi world including the kages. hes done some good also. your last part is wrong, sasuke is fighting now not for himself but to make sure itachis and his clans sacrifice is not in vain, he wants to show the world what a true kage is
no, gaara crimes is not just the sand village. he tried killing lee and threatened to kill naruto and shikamaru, and even then its still not justified. he was part of the those who attacked the leaf and the fact that you are trying to excuse by saying he was just following orders is distasteful. making excuses for him to say he didnt do wrong. if you want to put it that way then sasuke was just following his own sense of justice in what ever he did.

First off I wasn't saying what Gaara did was acceptable, I was saying compared to Sasuke's killing, Gaara's killing was contained in his village which means he didn't cause problems for other nations and his crimes had to be answered only by his superiors. Gaara had to work hard to gain forgiveness from the Sand council and the people (people he killed family would be included) and when he gain their forgiveness they made him the Kazekage. You said Gaara didn't have his life planned for him? He was the Jinchuuriki! His was made the Jin when he was still in his mom's womb so yes his life was planned for him since he never made the choice to be a Jinchuuriki, to be hated or feared. His own father ordered his assassination!
Sasuke knew his family loved him and everyone in the village saw him as an elite. Gaara grew up thinking he was unloved, feared, hated, and was a monster. I never said Sasuek would let Itachi get away with what he did, he could have stayed in the village and trained there instead of going with Orochimaru. Sasuke could have trained with Gai to improve his taijutsu and speed, Kurenia to improve his genjutsu, Tenten for weapons, Kakashi to help with his Sharingan training. Itachi was still a Konoha missing ninja so he is a waited person so Sasuke still could have gotten his shot to kill Itachi. Yes Itachi wanted Sasuke to go into hatred by why would Sasuke want to go along with what Itachi wants? His reason for not killing Naruto at VoTE was because he didn't want to gain power as Itachi yet he will go into hatred as Itachi said?
Gaara only had to answer to his village for his crimes while Sasuke needs to answer to Konoha, Cloud village, and Mifune for his attacking/killing their ninjas/samurais. No you can't say War>anything he did, Sasuke help caused the war! Sasuke captured a portion of the 8 tails chakra which made the Juubi being revive possible since you need a part of every bijuu's chakra to do it. Without that, there would have been no Juubi, no Juubito, no Juubidara, no Kaguya. All of those ninjas wouldn't have died like Neji, Shikaku, Ino's dad, Ao, people in that village and everyone in IT wouldn't be in IT. Sasuke's actions help bring the disasters that is happening so no helping in the war would only make up for the fact that he help caused it but does not make up what he has done before that.
Gaara was in darkness and being affected by his bijuu but he wasn't going to kill Lee if Lee called the fight but he didn't so Gaara was going to kill him. Ninjas can die in the Chunin exams, the death forest had many ways you could die, If I remember right it was Anko who told them that there were wild beasts in their that could kill them if they let their guard down. You think Sasuke wouldn't kill? He could have killed Gaara when he thrust his chidori in Gaara's sand shield unknown where he would hit him. Whe Gaara was freaking out that he was bleeding, Sasuke quickly pulled his arm out so killing can happen.
wanting to kill Naruto and Shikamaru and actually doing it are 2 different things. How is me saying he was following orders bad? We're talking about Gaara's character and he was being ordered to attack by his Kazekage (Orochimaru who told on Gaara's dad form). This was village against village. Sasuke was not part of any village after leaving Konoha nor did he shown to be someone to be command even by Orochimaru. Sasuke only used Orochimaru until he was done with him, but Sasuke was being used by Obito and allowed it to be. Obito even said he simply told Sasuke the truth and it was up to Sasuke to decide to either become the hero that Itachi wanted him to be or to take vengeance for his brother and clan.
Sasuke only target was Danzo and the 2 council members at first, then he wanted to destroy all of Konoha shortly after. He could have taken the facts to Konoha and had Danzo and the council members involved answer to their crimes the right way but he took it on himself to kill them.

1. Sasuke only fought Deidara to get info on Itachi and it was Deidara who killed himself. Sasuke took out Orochimaru before he can have his body taken and who was actually suppressed inside Sasuke.
2. He didn't want to help Itachi, he was in fact going in for kill shots over and over again while Itachi kept telling him to stop and he mostly was saving Itachi when he got hit from Kabuto's attacks while he saved Sasuke so it was mostly Itachi's goal to break Edo tensei while Sasuke didn't care to.
3/4/5. He wouldn't need to do all of that if he didn't give Obito the portion of the 8 tails chakra which allowed the Juubi to be revived and it was Naruto's memories that gave hope to the ninjas, Hashirama confirms that at the end of that chapter.
Difference is Gaara saw what he did was wrong and worked hard to make up for his crimes to his people and to others. As for the trying to kill Lee thing, I guess you forgot where he Saved Lee from Kimimaru? I think he made right by Lee there since he was constantly saving Lee while fighting Kimimaru. Gaara's brother and sister saved Shikamaru and Kiba as well. As you can see, Gaara did do cappy things but not close to being as bad as Sasuke's crimes which made him an international criminal. If Sasuke actually showed remorse for his past actions and wanted to make them up then my response would be different but he doesn't care about what Konoha ninjas like Kiba, Shikamaru, Shino think. Gaara does care what his people think and worked hard to earn their trust and forgiveness.
