I've had a couple of my threads deleted in the past. Most of my the delete threads were stupid, quick ideas to begin with and I wouldn't be surprised that they were deleted. Other times I make threads where I put a lot of work, time, and research into them, but they get deleted out of nowhere with 0 explanation.

I think we should get a reason/explanation to why your thread has been deleted, so it gives us closure and prevents us from doing it again. I read both the thread rules in Naruto discussions and the global rules and I didn't find a reason why my latest thread was deleted.

Private Message a Moderator of the Section where you posted that deleted Thread. You may then ask that Mod why the Thread was deleted.

I plan I doing that, but this is about my suggestion, I really feel like explanations should be given, similar to how you're given infraction notices and explanations. So then theres no reason for you to screw up again unless its intentional.

Normally, the threads get deleted because they're either pointless or has been discussed to death. Of course, it doesn't apply to all the deleted threads, since the situation may vary.

If your thread does get deleted and you would like to know the reason, the best thing to do is to contact one of the moderators of the respective section.

@that anti-mod theory, mods don't get anything by hating you.Lol Sometimes they do mistakes as well, at that point of time you should resolve the issues by talking personally with mods on PM and explain your stand, rather than making a thread about it and discussing it with people.Mods can even put back your thread after cleaning spam, yes they can do that, rather they have right to do so, as well as can reverse your infractions, if you explain your stand properly. Lol
And that's why take this issue with them on PM, this thread isn't going to solve anything.

If it is part of suggestion, I will just wait for them to answer it.:p

My thread was a comparison to the messiah complex of the Jesus story and the Naruto series and how Naruto is not a story of an underdog. It had a funny tone to it, but everything I presented was factual and could be taken seriously which most people did. I worked pretty hard on the graphic aids and now it got deleted. And yeah, planning on contacting "Those with colorful names".

You really don't understand that this is a suggestion thread don't you. I could honestly not PM a mod about my thread and be a-o goddamn-kay, just tell me what you think about my suggestion, lmao.

Good idea mate, should have thought of that earlier. +rep.

Your thread was reported several times by members that stated they were offended by your usage of a religious figure.
It doesn't help that you stated: "You can take this a joke, or you could take this as a fact. I take it as both."

Now, all times a thread gets deleted, the original poster will either get a warning/infraction or an opportunity to ask a staff member why it was in fact deleted. In most situations, the member should be able to identify why their thread was deleted. Lot's of times, people intentionally make troll threads or threads that call out specific members for confrontations. In less obvious circumstances, you may ask a Global Moderator via PM, and if they find that the thread did not need to be closed/deleted, they will reopen/undelete it.

Also the amount of threads we delete daily is very high. If you only delete one or two threads you could say we could bother to contact the thread makers, however I personally deleted yesterday between 20-30 threads. Only notifying those people would already take some time, but you can be sure most of them would reply back and several of them would to do it to say that it's unfair, that it's not true what we are saying, that we are corrupt, biased. With other words they want to cause an argument. Considering that for most of these threads the reason as why they got deleted is fairly obvious, we are not going to waste such amount of energy for people like that. This is also the reason as why infractions are sent by the Bot as originally an automatic PM was generated by the mod who gave the infraction, resulting in countless of endless discussions.

It's simply a waste of time and effort. For instance when there is a VS threads subsection clearly viewable in the Naruto Discussion section and an announcement at the top of the section saying that VS threads have to be posted in that subsection, logically we are not going to bother explaining to people who still make VS threads in the ND section that that is not allowed.

It also regularly happens that a thread is simply moved to the appropriate section, but that their creators didn't even bother searching for it properly and start screaming. If you can't even bother simply checking the threads you made, well we are not going to bother saying that a thread about football doesn't belong in the ND section.

I admit that sometimes threads that get deleted are debatable, but often reports are done in rapid sequence and the mod can't waste too much time on each individual report and overall those don't weight up the large majority of stupid, to the point of being retarded, threads of which there is no doubt they deserved to be deleted.
