Not making eye contact is a good way to counter Tsukuyomi, Hashirama is a sensor, so keeping up with Itachi while not looking at his eyes shouldn't be a problem.

What about other Genjutsu? Like the finger Genjutsu for example. Hashirama gets caught by that, Itachi can kneel down, look into his eyes and he's caught in Tsukuyomi.

I never said he'd just stand there but all Itachi has to do is point at him and he's in a Genjutsu. I would say Hashirama > Itachi if he was always in SM, from the start to the end of a fight since then he could keep his eyes closed to counter Tsukuyomi for the entire fight but since he can't then one quick Genjutsu and Itachi has enough time to shunshin to Hashirama and Tsukuyomi him while he breaks out of the Genjutsu. Brute strength and Jutsu aren't always going to allow you to win a fight.

In theory Itachi can create a Genjutsu before he can create clones, one point and it's done, though if he manages to create clones it would make it a lot harder to get close and Tsukuyomi him.

I disagree with the pollen putting him to sleep with Susano'o since he has the Yata Mirror which can cover the Susano'o from all sides and the Yata Mirror would cancel out the effects of the pollen, and Yata Mirror can make Hashirama's massive attacks useless for at least 5 minutes (around the time Itachi can keep Susano'o up).

Or you can read the scan and notice that he knows that the volume of the chakra is comparable to his own, how would he know that without sensing again ? :|

He would not need to be a sensor to notice that Naruto has a large volume of chakra, enough to give all the alliance a cloak. :|
