As far as I know, the edo tensei technique only has one preparation time, and thats only collecting the DNA of the person you want to summon, and the ritual. After the ritual, there is no more prep time for edo tensei, you just summon them. People continuously say that Edo tensei requires prep time in a 1v1, but I'm pretty sure all you need to do is summon them. Am I missing something?

Take this as a question.

You need a DNA of the person you'll be ressurecting and a living sacrifice.

Well, for people like Orochimaru, he carries DNA around, so...

Well there is the whole putting kunais in peoples heads thing.

But the summoning itself is relatively fast.

So in a 1v1 under the conditions that they already have DNA and have made the ritual and such, then it should be a pretty fast process.

I know about that prep, but in example for Orochimaru or Kabuto, they already have collected DNA and preformed the ritual. In a 1v1 fight, they can just summon the edo's they have already have. There is no prep time in a fight.

Including prep time means Konan even defeats Kabuto.

People keep saying that it needs prep to excuse it's utility because it's too overpowered for them to argue against in a vs. topic.

It's really like saying that Sasori can't use any of his puppets because he had to make them first. The truth is that once you resurrect someone, you can just store them away in some corner collecting dust until you need to summon them.

In fact, the three times that Edo Tensei has been used in battle, it was already prepped.
