There have been a fair amount of people thinking that Kaguya's ability is actually taking people to different parts of the earth rather than different dimensions. Some of those people use the logic that there has to be more to their planet than just the part that we see. Others use the logic that the other dimensions look very much like earth unlike Kamui's dimension. Others make mention of that castle.
I am here to prove that these mindsets have certain flaws.
1. There is no law of physics that says that different dimensions have to look totally different from Earth. In fact, real life scientific theory even contradicts these fans' logic. String/M theory, to keep it simple, suggest the existence of many alternate universes; many of which bear nearly identical resemblance to our own universe with slight changes that result from the principle that every possible thing that can happen does happen.
For example (and forgive me if I over simplify this), the theory suggests that if you go into Crispy Cream Doughnuts one day and choose the jelly doughnuts over the chocolate doughnuts, then in another universe, an alternate you may go in and choose the chocolate ones over the jelly. Another example: You may survive getting hit by a car in this universe, but an alternate you may die from it in another. Essentially, whenever a situation has alternative possible endings, all of those endings take places in different dimensions.
As you can see, from this explanation and these examples, different dimensions can actually be very earth like. In the doughnut example for instance, you were still in the same crispy cream on the same street on the same planet and everything. The only difference was your choice in doughnut, yet they were still two different dimensions. The alternate you did not have to be in some blocky world (like Kamui) just to be in another dimension.
Though Naruto is not real life, similar logic can apply here. By similar logic, I am referring to the fact that Kaguya's dimensions don't have to look all weird and foreign just to be different dimensions. They can look as much like Earth as they want and still be different dimensions.
Therefore, your claims that she is just moving around the earth based on the fact that the places look too "Earth-like" are invalid logic.
2. Other people mention how that castle seems to show up everywhere. Now we do not yet know the significance of that castle, so that may be an important key. However, I have noticed that it looks to be the same exact castle every time. I could be wrong and it could just be that she built multiple castles that look exactly like that in different places in the world, but I could also be right. It looks pretty much the same every time. Now think about this: How would the same exact castle be present at all of these different places? Did she simply warp the castle along with everyone else? It is possible, but what would be the reason to do so?
Furthermore, she could have just as easily built that castle in multiple of her dimensions, so that castle does nothing to disprove that they are in a different dimension. Personally, I think that castle may have more to do with the jutsu or Kaguya herself than it does with their location. We should probably just wait to see the significance of that castle.
3. Think beyond the 4th wall here for a second. Kishi himself directly implied that they were different dimensions as opposed to just different locations on the earth. Yes it came in the form of speculation on Kakashi's part, but like I said, think beyond the 4th wall. Why would Kishi even put the idea of different dimensions in our heads and keep it that way for multiple chapters just to nerf the jutsu later? What purpose would this serve? Also, this would render Kakashi's speculation as completely random and totally illogical. After all, "We were warped to a different dimension" is rarely the first speculation that someone comes to when they get warped somewhere (especially if simply being warped somewhere else in the same dimension is a possible option). It is much safer to say that even if Kishi mentions it in the form of speculation on a character's part, unless he retcons it later, this speculation is probably the right answer (especially if it is something as drastic as being warped to a different dimension).
4. Like Naruto, I too have also noticed a certain trend. These days, everybody seems to want to nerf epic jutsus and to make them pathetically weak. First it was infinite tsukuyomi and the whole sunglasses thing (which I made a thread on
That is all I have to say.

You must be registered for see links
) and that "destroy the moon" crap. Now it is Kaguya's dimensional shifting technique with people trying to say that she is not going to other dimensions even though Kishi says otherwise. Why people? Why are you trying to make every epic jutsu look pathetically weak? That is all I have to say.
