[Discussion] Kubo needs to step his game up

Felt like it took a millisecond to read this weeks chapter, shorter than the usual 1 second it takes. (Grimmjow needs to show, its been too long.)

I am losing faith in Bleach again.

There is hardly any damn progression and we have barely moved when it involved the 8 vs 6 battle. I mean fawk, how long will it take for me to see Byakuya's new move-set?

Hardly any progression? Sado and Orihime just returned, Uryuu was confronted by Ichigo, we are set up for Grimmjow in the next few chapters and the Sternritter vs. Shinigami fight is about to commence. If that isn't progression, then I don't know what is.

Orihime and Chad? Not that it matters. They are just more dead weight to get in the way. It's not like they can do anything. Yes, it's more expesition and set-up for Grimmjow but then again, he isn't here yet.

I was mainly talking about Renji and Byakuya battle. Yuha left and Ichigo met with Uryu, so I guess that it a little progression, but it's more like set up than anything. I need fighting. Not useless conversation about how Ichigo should go home and not waste his life. Kubo has a tendency to waste panels on useless dialogue.

Haha yeah, a millisecond isn't much of an exaggeration. I love Bleach but every week I'm so disappointed when I breeze through the chapter in a minute.

I like bleach even though the chapters are short, much more interesting than naruto currently.

This whole arc the chapters seem shorter. It's like he uses way bigger panel spaces that take up a lot of the page. So little story gets developed but we get appealing panels and art.

Kubo is more of an artist than a writer anyway.

Yeah same here. Once it comes back, each episode will cover like 4-6 chapters.

Orihime and Sado wouldn't have returned unless they could make a meaningful contribution, which I think they can since they have been with Urahara and Grimmjow for all this time.

The setup was what made this chapter better than Naruto's this week for me, because we have a lot to look forward to.

Well Orihime and Sado are in SS now, thats a progress lol. On a serious note i heard that this arc is gonna be the longest one of the series. Previous arc(Arrancar arc) had 27 volumes and took 4 years to complete. According to kubo he's going to drag the series as long as possible(Like 10 years) so it's imminent that it's going to be 27+ volumes, and also means that real essence of this arc hasn't even started. So don't get disappointed already just hold your seats for a while. Naruto is coming to an end so we dont want another popular series to pack up in near future.
