Appointing Tsunade was probably the biggest mistake Konoha and its citizens made



She was the weakest and couldnt really live up to the hype established by the previous Hokages

She relied on Naruto too much in order to protect the village



Danzo was the best candidate because he truly loved the village. He would do anything to protect the village no matter what happens


Danzo was a true shinobi and while many people may not like him, u have to respect him for his commitment and love for the village

I will say this; Naruto hadn't completed his Rasenshuriken when Tsunade sent the toad to retrieve him. If Danzo hadn't killed the toad, than Naruto would've been defeated by Pein. Than Pein could recover, beat Kirabi, boom Infinite Tsukuyomi.

This is an assumption. You don't know if naruto had completed his training with or not. just becuase they showed him practicing with it at night at that point doesn't mean it wasn't completed.

ANBU Root was ordered by Tsunade to assist in the defense of the village and evacuation of the people. Danzo defied the Hokage and hid underground to use the aftermathof the attack to assume power.

That's not a Hokage anyone wants. It means he is willing to let the village die to achieve his desires. Danzo is a hypocrite not a great man.

He let pain rampage the village he could've help fight, he prevented the root from helping, he stop naruto from coming and helping. He screwed over the village so he could become hokage.

Plus he used KA on mifune so he can become in charge of the alliance. He doesn't care about anything but his own satisfactory.

OT: Danzo probably did not have enough support at the time. The jonin and the council wanted one of the Sannin; Jiraiya refused, so the only option left would have been Tsunade. If Naruto hadn't given her the TNJ treatment, Danzo might have been selected as Hokage.
