Why is Hashirama so overhyped? Is it b/c he has Wood Release? I know full and well he isn't weak by any means necessary, but he isn't invincible.

How does he counter Chibaku Tensei? Shinra Tensei? Amaterasu? Kamui?

Is he fast enough to counter/ hit Minato?

What would be do against Kisame's Mega Water Burst Shock Wave? (The move he used against Bee)

Again, he isn't weak but he can't counter everything. At one time he was reverred as the "God of Shinobi" but people are eventually surpassed.

Kamui and ftg can be countered by sm and madara using his sm already countered ftg from Tobirama.

Chibaku tensei can be countered by the Buddha, or not be countered at all because Nagato may not get an opportunity to use ct against Hashirama due to all Hashirama's large scale jutsu Nagato would have to get past.

Same for kisame, Hashirama's jutsu are op mokuton is op you see only juubi jins and arguably naruto and sasuke only surpass him. Kisame water dome is chakra, Hashirama can be caught in it but won't die in it because he would use a mokuton jutsu such as wood forest which would be way larger than water dome and the mokuton would absorb it.

As for shinra tensei only sensing can you be able to counter it but but Hashirama has mokuton constructs that seem to act on their own like his giant wood hands or wood golem that casually catches tbb and stalemated the perfect susano so as long as he has a mokuton jutsu out their the distance he is blown won't be that much and he heals instantly so st won't hurt him at all.

Amaterasu would be countered by sm sensing and reflexes.

Thanks for showing me. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve hype. Not at all.
People keep saying he has the juubi's body but I believe someone with the Sages eyes (Nagato/Madara) could beat him.

Anyone without massive chakra cannot hope to match Hashirama's raw power. His forests/wood dragons are overwhelmingly destructive. He can hide himself and/or his clones within the branches. He can create pollen that puts people to sleep. He can absorb chakra. He has Sage Mode sensory powers. He can heal most injuries. He has Kyuubi-level chakra.

He even has non-Mokuton jutsu, such as his Darkness genjutsu (which works well, since he can sense his opponents movementa). He is also proficient at barriers/Sealing techniques.

He's not overhyped; it takes someone on Ashura/Indra/Hagoromo's level to fight him. Naruto has, however, surpassed Hashirama.
