it's hard (between these 2) but imo there should be no debate at all that the first two spots are The Dark Knight trilogy and the X Men series:

I would go with X-men(Days of the future past) or The dark knight series(The dark knight).

For DC, theres no debating that the Dark Knight trilogy (any of the films there) have the best casting.

For Marvel, I'd say that Iron Man had the best casting simply because of the problems that Marvel had initially with casting Robert Downey JR as Tony Stark, and yet he was probably the single greatest casting decision they have made yet.

Agreed. Oh and you're forgetting Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen and Peter Dinklage in X-men list too.

I didn't forget about Jackman or Berry, it's just that I don't think they are as good as the others, Jackman works very well as Wolverine but as an actor he's not as good as the others on that list imo

none of the actors in avengers come even close to anyone on my list

Ever since the X-Men series landed Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, they've been the best, hands down. They were already debatably the best, but they were set back by some bad movies. (Wolverine Origins, X-Men 3)

Second up is the Avengers. Probably won't be as good in the second one because no Tom Hiddleston, who I think is the best actor in the business at the moment. (Along with Benedict, imagine him in a super hero movie?)

TDK had a great cast themselves; but I'll take RDJ, Chris Pine, and Samuel L. Jackson as leads over their leads any day.
