Seriously this current arc is hard to read for me . If you are a muslim who read magi ,What do you feel about it?

First when it was with prophet soloyman i ignored it ,but when they mention Allah story i was skipping like crazy .

Although I like magi a lot.

They were good in terms of story telling that author is genius .However i dont like to read stories that involves allah like that.

Ah okay makes sense I guess but the manga is fictional so you're not supposed to compare it to Islam. Also in all the translations i've read i've never come across the manga using Allah. It's always used Ilah which just means deity in Arabic right?

Buddhists don't get upset when someone makes a movie about Buddha and that he was corrupt
Jews don't get upset when someone makes a movie about 2nd world war...

Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, or whatever are drawn in books, paintings, news papers, clothes EVERYWHERE

i don't understand why Muslims always get so upset if someone even is trying to draw a Mohammed picture in a book, on a shirt or if a non-muslim talk about Allah etc?
why are you so sensitive? i feel sorry that Muslims get offended so easily... they're just hurting themselves

i even remember a few years ago, someone drew a picture of a roundabout, and decided to draw a Statue of Mohammed inside the roundabout... the picture was in the Norwegian Newspaper... and the next day people were shooting with rifles and burning norwegian flags in protest? come on?

***p.s. i've checked Magi Archives... there's no character called Allah in there?

They never fight Allah though. Solomon only opposed "Ilah's" ideals. Ilah was just the name given by the people of Alma Toran to the person/thing that gave humans power. It just means deity in Arabic, i've never seen them use Allah before.

Also, I just looked this up and the character Solomon is based on an ancient King of Israel in Christian, Islamic, Judaic and Bahai scripture, who supposedly had power over demons. He's found not just in Islam.

Yeah i really love the story and i know its fictional ,but i was hoping it doesn't end up with something like aladin fighting allah or something like that ,because that would totally kill the joy for me .

Now that i have the right trans it says "ilah" "اله" not allah .(the trans i used to read were wrong i guess)

Well drawing the prophets is haram in islam ,but it isn't strange if you do that when you are not a muslim .

Some people over react too much .Burning the flags and such is stupid .

No problem, haha yeah there are always some incorrect translations. Nah I don't think it will end up with Aladdin fighting Ilah, probably just Al-Thamen or their father (the black stuff). We'll see I guess. Yeah I love Magi's story and characters too

Don't let those Pencil & Paperwork/Anime take over your mind.Just keep them apart.They are just fiction.Watch it & Leave it or Leave it(If you don't like).I am not upto date with Manga but if author is really talking a crap about Muslim religion then there would have been Illegal notices already issued to him by a Govt.upon complaint by a third party.

So I guess author don't take a risk to do that.May be you would have read wrong translations

Yeah I've been following it for a while and I like it.

The "Ilah= اله" they keep mentioning in the manga isn't "Allah= الله".

جاء في لسان العرب (إله) أن الإله هو الله، وأن كل ما اتخذ من دونه معبوداً إله عند متخذه وأن الجمع آلهة.
فكل ما يعبده شخص يسمى إلهاً، كما قال موسى للسامري في سورة طه الآية 97 عن العجل الذي عبده بنو إسرائيل:
وَانظُرْ إِلَى إِلَهِكَ الَّذِي ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُ فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفًا سورة طه :97
فالعجل إله للسامري لأنه عبده. فلفظ إله على إطلاقه لا يشير إلى الإله الحق وحده، وإنما يشير إلى كل ما يُعبد.​

Also, Keep in mind that the book that the manga is based on, "thousand and one nights" isn't all about Arabic mythology; it contains many stories of Indian origin and most of those stories mix fiction with facts.

EDIT: Also, using the word "Allah" has meaning for the one using it. It means "The one and only god" from "ِAl". Any person that has different beliefs than Muslims could refer to what he believes to be his one god with that word .
