Clearing up a misconception: Obito was 14 when he fought Minato

I'm here to finally clear up this misconception


Some people still believe Obito was 17-18 years old when he fought Minato because they think hes 3-4 years older than Kakashi according to the databook


However, what they failed to grasp is that Kishi retconned Obito's class age. In other words, u cannot trust the databook because of these two scenes

Kishi grouped everyone together and everyone is roughly the same age


If we go by databook, Anko is said to be 24 years old in part one, which means she would be 26-27 in part two


Kakashi became chunin at 6 and he was 14 during Nine tails attack because Kakashi is 31 now since Naruto is 17


According to databook, this makes Anko 4 years younger than Kakashi


Since Kishi put Anko in Kakashi's class group, she would be 1 year old when she entered the academy since Kakashi became genin at 5


Now, does this make any sense


Nope, Kishi retconned the ages and put everybody in the same class group because it makes sense


Kakashi and Obito are the same age


Kakashi was 14 and Obito was 14 when the nine tails attacked the village

This is un-accurate. Naruto failed the academy 7x and he was still the same age as Sasuke and Sakura who passed it their first time.
