Pretty much all there is to it in this and Tsunade's situations... Katsuyu's acid will not effect Mei.

Concerning acid mist, you do know she can just stand on katsuyu to avoid the mist.

Lava style aoe isn't even big enough to do that

Futton was dispersed by a Swing from Susan'oo Sword Sakura's Shockwave are on another level.
Lava can't act as a mine as it hardens in mere seconds just creating more layers of rock.
Hidden Mist get's Dispersed by a Strike to the Ground or a explosive Tag.
Water Style is only blunt force a shockwave or a explosive tag can easily scatter it.

Katsuyu's Acid can be used as a diversion and if Mei tries CQC 1 counter attack and
adios Mei.

It takes 1 hand seal to form it and it weighs tons while making an impact on her whole body. WHOLE. Not just 1 part so it can regenerate. A tree managed to bisect Tsunade - something that pushes with times greater force would completely annihilate her body.

All she has is-
Summoning technique
Mitotic art of a 100 healings
Decent taijutsu along with great strength

While Mei has-
Lava and steam release (two kekkei genkai)
From the above two it is obvious she also has water,fire and earth style
Decent taijutsu skills (seen when she dynamic entried BZ)
Much more experience since she is a kage

and it will viable to say that Mei's potential has been even fully shown till now in her fight with Mads or BZ ( like summons or all of the ninjutsu) ...The 100 healings technique won't work forever..like in the case of tsunade when Dan had to give her chakra ..

So Mei wins high difference..but sakura may be able to put up a really good fight now ..
