As GL pointed, that would explain Tobirama's knowledge on the Sharingan quite a bit.

Yeah... doppelganger means clone.

Well that's usually what it stands for, I'm aware of that. But does that mean Kishi is saying that Madara used a Shadow Clone to replace his own body and it worked against Tobirama? Tobirama, at no point in time, hints that he noticed something peculiar about Madara being dead after Hashirama says he was sure he killed Madara. As far as we know, Tobirama was able to perform experiments from Madara's body cause he never noticed the body was actually a clone. But we know that Shadow Clones aren't usually that durable. To go through experiments that allows Tobirama to do research, is probably extensive work. That's got to disturb the clone's chakra. Tobirama was even aware of how the Sharingan relates to the emotions the way he did, doesn't it sound like this clone never went poof like they normally do?

Not to mention that Tobirama invented this jutsu, but he can't notice it being used after experimenting? That sounds sketchy to me. Had Madara used some other advanced clone technique, I'd buy it but if he really fooled Tobirama with his own technique, that does not say much for Tobirama since he experimented on this body.

I wonder if "Shadow Doppelgänger" refers to Shadow Clone. Usually, it would just say Kage Bunshin so I doubt it but it makes you wonder, just what did Madara use to replace himself in order to pull one over on Tobirama to where he would never notice the switch.
They've always used the term Shadow Doppelganger in viz translations. You're trying to look too deep into it

If that's the case, then look at my post right above the one you just made. My point is that I find it weird that Tobirama was fooled by a Kage Bunshin despite experimenting on the clone, discovering the secrets of the body and being the creator of the jutsu. It's weird that he not only discovered it was a clone, but the clone didn't even go "poof" after Tobirama learned how the Sharingan works, a chakra enhanced technique.

There are just too much fails in *********** this week lol.

Many wrong translations and the story doesn't really make sense in certain parts.

Remember the context explain that Madara used a Time relay of Izanagi. So maybe after Tobirama is all finish with his experiment thats when coincidentally Izanagi activate and he begin to make a fake corpse. From there Tobirama only needs to check if the body is still there.

Just throwing options.

So does this mean Kaguya was trying to take Chakra from her sons instead of giving it to them?

Also, a dead body means no chakra. Tobirama is a sensor.

Did Madara somehow able to suppress the chakra of his bunshin so that Tobirama won't be able to sense it? It's kinda confusing.

Yes, and that's the one that makes sense. *********** messed up in many parts.
