Well, if u take the manga from where it is now and then look back then u r kinda right. This story is basically a different rendition of Ashura. Ashura and Indra grow up, bond, become friends, Indra abandons Ashura, Ashura seeks out Indra and along the way discovers his own path. In this story Naruto as Ashura still desires his bond with his brother just as he did in the beginning. He loves his brother and even though they both r seeking peace, Naruto wants them to come to a resolution.

Sasuke is Naruto's every reason for advancing in Part 2 with the exception of SM. Naruto's character doesn't revolve around Sasuke, but Sasuke's character pushes Naruto's development.

That is probably because Sasuke personifies some of the main issues that Naruto has to deal with in order to get to his final destination so as Sasuke changes so does Naruto in order to adapt to the problem

Is this an attempt to downplay Naruto? Meh..the poll says otherwise. He's just not a character that revolves around Sasuke, although I agree his obsession with bringing Sasuke back is creepy. Other than that, he's a cliche' shounen character, that endures and goes through hardships.

No it was because of black zetsu.

uchiha always wanted succession of IT and senju stopped them.

Yeah, pretty much except Indra was influenced by BZ. Also for Sasuke it was simply jealousy, it was him feeling inadequate as well. Sasuke had been shown the true gap between himself and his brother, this caused him to look down on his own power and seeing Naruto, someone who used to be beneath him progress so much made Sasuke feel like on his current path he was going nowhere

He left because he wanted to kill Itachi and get stronger. Severing bonds with the weak leaf ninja so he could get more power without interference from petty friendships and bonds.

Naruto's relationship with Sasuke is what's great about this manga. Even though being Hokage has been Naruto's stated goal since the beginning of the series, it's been shown repeatedly that Sasuke's friendship is equally or more important. Naruto's intentions are always clear to the reader.

All of the posted scans illustrate the ferocity, and yes obsession, behind Naruto's feelings toward Sasuke.

What is unique about the relationship is that the reader is left to guess at Sasuke's true feelings and intentions toward Naruto.

Sorry, I can't respond to the poll - my answer is that this is the story of Naruto AND Sasuke.
