I also didn't like itachi in first season ... but after the truth revealed i found him a really great character!!!!

To be honest I always felt like he was getting too much hype from characters in-universe. And that feels like Kishi pushing his opinion on him through them, on us, and such things always kind of put me off. I did like Edo Itachi's moments but before that his tragic anti-hero/villain/double agent/Snape type was never appealing to me, but well, that's just me. Brooding characters aren't really my type.

Well, I'd say that I simply have a certain character archetype(s) that I know I tend to like, plus there usually is something about a character's design that is needed to get me hooked, so to say. Usually these little things are quite random though, since I can't really say that I find my faves good-looking.

Hidan was my favorite. If you didn't know how his power worked the first time fighting him, you were pretty much dead. I would have liked to see more development from him. He is still alive after all.
Itachi was my second favorite. He was a very sympathetic character with a lot of development.
Deidara was like a crazy jihadist/misunderstood artist. Probably in my honorable mention.

Not to me. I prefer light-colored hair and eyes, and he looks too young to me. But then again, it's not like I find Deidara or Kisame good-looking, either. The only Naruto character I think is somewhat handsome is Cee.
