I find it amusing that Rikudo himself was incapable of dealing with Madara. Is Madara really that strong that founder of ninjutsu himself fears him?

1) Hagoromo is dead and travel through time and appears to choosen people in shape and form of chakra ghost
2) Hagoromo can not APPEAR in real word or even affect it in any way as he lacks body
3) Hagoromo decided to give chance Naruto and Sasuke beat Madara
4) If Kishi brought Hagoromo back then Naruto fans would complain and call bad writting that Naruto and Sasuke have no significant roles.
