That's not animation, that's artwork. Animation is the movement in a scene and those are pictures..
The artwork has to look like that in order to fit the animation. If the characters are moving in a fast pace, it makes sense to have less detailing because that's how it works in real life.

One Piece isn't animated by studio Perriot. Also bleach and many other mangas are animated by Perriot and their animation is not sub par.
You can't blame a whole studio when there are several clusters in a studio working on different parts and different animators as well.

are you referring to the animation or the scene? more then likely (seeing as it is not filler) the same thing happened in the manga, same story, same thing. just zero animation. i hate people who act like anime and manga are two different things (apart form fillers, and a few anime i have seen) are the same, the chars, the story, is all the same. plus the animation of that episode (imo) wasnt that bad, like when it got shitty during thiller bark. and i dont download and watch hd and such, i just stream it.

Animation, art style, whatever, the anime has been ugly recently. Look at Zoro's Sacrifice again, and you'll see the quality drop.

Well the animation isn't the biggest issue for me. Yes, it needs improvement but the pacing is what annoys me the most. They drag on pointless scenes, have you seen the Rebecca scene? The animation was on point with the crying and sh*t. Otherwise, I enjoyed the ep. Bartolomeo made the ep. for me though.

I still don't know how it's bad. If I remembered in the manga the ground just looked more tilted due to Chinjao's headbutt.

On topic: I concur, the animators don't take animating onepiece anime serious which is a draag because not only do i read manga but i watch anime to just to bring the manga alive.

This said, you pausing it on a random scene will make it look strange theres nothing surprising there

I dont care about the animation too much,unless its something like that short scene of Naruto (9tails mode) vs Pain I will survive.
