Well. I definitely agree on the he will come back part. His will hasn't been resolved yet.

I bet after he comes back and learns how IT is not the final solution, he will get pissed and go berserk and do the whole "there his no hope in the world, everything is filled with hate; the cycle is unbreakable, etc.,etc." and try to destroy the world because he sees no point in living anymore because everything is simply suffering, and Naruto and Sasuke either TnJ or kill him.
