I think it's possible madara will redeem himself before it's all over. The reason I say this is because black zestu is the one who triggered the cycle. He manipulated Indra and tampered with the Uchiha tablet so in my opinion it's all his fault madara became evil. Madara had dreams of peace just like Hashirama BUT like obito madara was led down the wrong path. I think obito will also join the fight but madara will join later when all hope is lost. Black zestu might even had part in izuna's death just like madara had part in rin's death. Regardless I think madara will be back but this time on the good side.

Nah I don't mean he'll return now like I said he'll possibly return when all hope is lost in the battle.. If he does return.

Madara must be still inside of kaguya or sth. like that.
I don't think kishi forgot to show the jutsu hashirama gave to sasuke, this jutsu will only take effect on madara, so he must be relevant. madara maybe come out of kaguya when she is weakened.
Madara on the good side sounds strange but i can imagine a fight between madara and kaguya without some cowardly black zetsu action from behind.
But obito then definitely wants to kill madara.
