So this is not my usual Itachi wank thread this one is serious. I was looking at a thread from about an hour ago and from it it seems the majority of people on NB have no clue what actually happened with Sasuke vs. Itachi.

From what I read before my disgust made me abandon the thread it seems that many people believe Sasuke killed Itachi by forcing him to use Susanoo which apparently in their minds is what killed Itachi. Chakra Exhaustion in other words.

This is completely wrong. Itachi kicked Sasuke's ass while he was mostly blind and sick but I will admit Sasuke forced him to use Susanoo with Kirin. But what killed Itachi was his illness. Sasuke is the one who ran out of chakra, Itachi did not.

How do i know? Well think about what Kakashi said, "If you try to use a jutsu you don't have enough chakra for it doesn't work and you could die." But in Itachi's case susanoo WORKED. The only logical conclusion is that he died from the illness which shockingly enough Obito himself already said. Seriously people LEARN TO READ.


Thank you this isn't up for debate btw it was made perfectly clear by Obito and Kishi if you argue this simple fact you are truly beyond stupid.

Did they ever stated the exact reason why he died? Did they say he died out of exhaust or illness? I can't remember. If they never said the exact statement to why he died then it won't be answered. Because logic in this manga does not work.

I thought this was really obvious but people clearely like to be stupid... when watching the fight u can see how Itachi could have killed Sasuke a lot of times , like when he was using the Amaterasu with fire ball jutsu ... i he just carried on he would have sasuke have to run or on the flaw alot sooner. Also we all know Itachi was testing sasuke with the Genjutsu at the start if he wanted i believe he could have owned him with Genjutsu without tsukuyomi...

There's just so many reasons why everyone should be obligated to be against you in this thread.

Anyways, it's pretty much agreed upon that the strain of Susano'o made his condition worse. Diseases get stronger, and people are capable of surviving said diseases until it reaches a certain level of strength, until their condition is reduced to a certain level. It's because Sasuke drove Itachi to use Susano'o, the condition the disease put him in got to its worst. If you notice, after Itachi activated Susano'o, he threw up a huge amount of blood, bigger than before. Yes, the illness did kill him, but that's because using Susano'o took away his body's strength to fight it.

Clearly Sasuke didn't actually win against Itachi. He was in control at all times.

I only really ever saw two possible ways of him dying, One is being out of chakra and the other is his illness.

Both are honestly possible. Considering implanting amaterasu, a move that takes a large amount of chakra and strain on the body, was the last thing Itachi did. It could have been Chakra exhaustion from his last move to protect his little brother from Tobi.

You seem to claim to be a fan of Itachi, yet somehow you missed out the final technique which did kill Itachi.

Anyone able to think of this? Obito/Madara even mentioned it.

Edit: Haha, the man above me got it. It was the combination of the illness and Itachi implanting Amaterasu within Sasuke and hoping to awaken his MS that killed him.
